SM Media runs cutting-edge studios and blending rooms equipped with updated technology for multimedia production. Our success comes directly from the dedication and expertise of our team members, each with over twenty years of industry experience.
The work we do sits at the point where language, sound and picture meet. A dub has to match a performance. A subtitle has to be readable in the time it is on screen. A description track has to fit the gaps that already exist in the dialogue. None of that is solved by equipment alone, and none of it is solved by talent alone.
Because audio, localization, video and design all happen in the same building, the handoffs between them are ours to manage rather than yours. A film we shoot is a film we can grade, mix, caption and version, without a single file leaving the facility.
Our commitments
We keep investing in current equipment and software so the team is never working around its tools. It means fewer compromises on a project and a finish that holds up next to anything else on the platform.
Pre-release material is handled as pre-release material. Access to the studio, the equipment and your files is controlled, and content stays inside the facility for the length of the project.
Attention to detail from concept through to execution — because in localization and post, the difference between adequate and good is almost always in the details nobody is supposed to notice.
How we work
Four stages, and an honest answer at each one about what the schedule allows.
You tell us the format, the languages, the delivery specification and the deadline. We tell you honestly what is and is not possible in that window.
Scripts, transcripts and spotting are prepared first, and voices are cast, so that studio time is spent recording rather than problem-solving.
Recording, editing, animation and design happen in our rooms, with remote direction and client monitoring available throughout.
Files are mixed, conformed and QC'd against your delivery spec before they leave the building — in the formats your platform actually accepts.
